Album: The Long Road – track 06
Tabber: Will Prince [email protected]
Tuning: Drop C - 1 step down with drop D (C,G,C,F,A,D)
Okay, finally after millions of years of waiting, here’s the greatest Nickleback song ever on paper. Have fun and good luck with the hammer on pattern in the beginning. The way you play it is allow the pick to hit the first note in the riff (fig.1a) then just use your finger by itself to do the fast pull offs. It may take some practice but you’ll get it.

Play fig.1 and 1a three full times then on the fourth time replace fig.1a with the bend below.

Heavy Part/Chorus after intro - This is basically the same as the intro but I thought I’d show the change in rhythm, use very blunt down strokes. I’m guessing this is the chorus, I can’t decided if it’s the “You know I can’t be there” part or this, either way its here.

*Notes in brackets are an alternate way of playing that part, root power chords from that position can also be used instead of the high 10-11-12, personally, I find it more fun playing it the high way, but whatever suits you.

Quiet part(02:32) This is the part just after the bridge with Nik doing a little drum solo, there is a pick scratch behind it. Place your finger over the 11th fret as if making a harmonic and scratch.

And that’s all there is to this extremely awesome song. Sorry again it took so long people but anyway it’s done now, so who cares. Keep rockin! As always mail any questions, comments, or corrections.
